Netbooks: Dell or HP?

In my price range there is:

well, hp and dell are two great companies and the 2 biggest computer manufacturers in the world… if you absolutely must have a tiny tablet laptop, i should say, don’t get a ssd hard drive. you know the little usb flash memory drives, about the size of your thumb, that you can plug into your computer for portable data storage? those hold around 4-8 gigabytes of data. now, if you make a hard drive out of those, you get a ssd hard drive. 16 gigabytes is a very, very small hard drive. you could have bought a computer 10 years ago that had that hard drive size. what makes it different is the flash-drive based technology. it’s just coming onto the market, and the benefits are: it’s quieter on account of having no moving parts, it doesn’t crash, it saves a chunk of battery life, and it reads data much, much faster. but with 16 gigabytes of hard drive memory, you won’t be able to store much at all. when the technology becomes more affordable in the future, all computers will probably have ssd hard drives, but they’re only an expensive option now- especially for a mini laptop.

i say buy the dell!

but considering you have a bigger laptop and will only use this one for general and writing use, then if the above description of the benefits of ssd drives appeals to you, go ahead and buy the hp if you want it. aside from the high-tech hard drive option, both computers are virtually the same.
