Is a refurbished laptop as good as a new one?

I’m looking for a laptop and there is one with the same exact specs as a new one that’s refurbished for over $300 less, does that mean that it’s not as good?

refurbished is where the product broke, and the makers fixed it and are reselling it for a cheaper price, the bad thing with refurbished is that it usually will not look new and that the problem it had before can possibly come back in the future. But if you don’t mind a few scratches, and the computer battery dieing earlier than a new one, it’s well worth it.
